Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Accountant, you will manage accounts receivable processes, including preparing and reviewing project billings, addressing billing inquiries, and ensuring timely collections. You will also oversee the setup and maintenance of projects within the ERP system, review contracts and change orders, and monitor project statuses. Additionally, you will mentor other accounts receivable employees and develop best practices for AR and project accounting processes. Your role will involve collaborating with clients and internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure compliance with lien laws.

What You Need to Succeed

To excel in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, along with at least five years of experience in project accounting, particularly in the construction or electrical contracting industry. Proficiency in construction accounting software and Microsoft Excel is essential. You should possess strong knowledge of AIA billing, lien laws, and construction contracts, as well as excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. High interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members are crucial.
