Your new company
Our client is a GC/CM that specializes ground up construction projects across the healthcare, academic, retail and corporate sectors. Their work spans across the Five Boroughs, Long Island, New Jersey and Westchester, with corporate offices in Manhattan. Due to company growth and strong pipeline of work there is a need to hire an additional Estimator.
Your new role
Reporting into a Chief Estimator, your responsibilities will include analyzing and interpreting architectural plans, performing take-offs, obtaining quotes from suppliers, providing detailed proposals and accurate bid packages, negotiating with vendors and clients and attending meetings with staff, architects and clients. There will be the opportunity for you to move into a management role in the future and develop more junior team members underneath you.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position you will have at a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in an Estimating capacity, having successfully bid low-income multifamily mixed-use developments across the tri-state area. Experience of takeoffs, turning over bid documents, negotiating subcontractor buy outs, ideally leading and managing bid proposals from start to finish. Ground up and interior construction experience preferred. Construction related degree preferred
