Area of Accountability:

• Layout, tack, and welding of fabricated parts per supplied print package.

Major Responsibilities:

• Perform mig, tig and stick welding operations to produce product at the required production and quality level as instructed.
• Ability to operate a band saw to cut raw material used in weld and machine shop.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.

• Accurately report daily activities of jobs worked in time keeping system.
• Conduct required quality checks using basic measurement equipment to ensure parts are produced to print.
• Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards.
• Exercise safe working habits while operating machines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited school.
• 5 - 7 years of applicable experience in the welding area

• Ability to function as an effective team member.
• Ability to follow operation procedures and assess problems and recommend solutions to resolve problems.
• Able to read and understand blueprints and geometric tolerances.
• Ability to pass 2G Mig Welding certification test. Previous experience in production welding.
• Must be able to meet production standards and follow instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude with a demonstrated ability to work in a production environment is preferred.
• Must be able to physically lift 50 lbs.
• Have ability to work in other departments such as Assembly.
• Must be able to read, speak and write legible in English.
• Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment.
