Vice President, Growth (Midwest)

The VP, Growth is a key leader helping to lead a team that supports and drives development of strategy and vision for new prospect and client renewal opportunities that are both direct and RFP. This role emphasizes optimizing overall operation, organization and process to scale, tools, reporting and technology to enable and leadership to drive sales execution and client retention. Success requires increasing pipeline growth and its velocity, sales effectiveness and close ratios that enables the organization to achieve our annual gross profit and revenue growth targets.

The role is expected to collaborate closely with other Growth Segment leaders to develop and support sales initiatives, strategy execution and successful attainment of gross profit and revenue growth.

The VP, Growth will manage a team consisting of Pricing, Solution, Sales Ops and Proposal writing functions that analyze complex prospect needs, overcome business challenges, and ensure we are providing compelling, unique solutions that leverage Marathon Health's value proposition, capabilities and technologies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communication: Practice recognition of success, learning from failure, and continuous improvement of the team. Routinely communicate, celebrate results achievement and inform the team.
  • Teamwork: Leads a collaborative effort among the departments managed seeking opportunities to improve and practices to leverage.
  • Facilitating collaboration among the Growth business areas to improve value of effort, effectiveness and results.
  • Reporting: Establishment of report catalog, leading the production and quality of the reporting and its use to derive insights that lead to action that improve results.
  • Planning: Leading evaluations of business and financial planning activities primarily around growth drivers, trends, initiative and results to support near term and longer range revenue and membership forecasts and business plans.
  • Influences executive management; negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy
  • Management: Manages a team responsible for analyzing multifaceted information and data, translating these findings into tangible deliverables, strategies, targets, messages, and presentations. Fosters and provides leadership to a developing team and provides coaching and development opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
  • Minimum 10 years of sales or sales operations experience in a business-to-business sales environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience of leadership experience demonstrating effective team building, interpersonal, leadership skills, and transforming decentralized Sales Operations functions to a cohesive center of excellence that helps accelerate revenue growth.
Preferred:
  • Health industry experience and of particular value on-site primary care and/or medical group management market experience.
  • Health insurance benefits and health system provider segments including how they interrelate with employer sponsored health centers.
  • Sales process and understanding of steps involved to generate qualified pipeline opportunity and the methods to advance the progression through the stages.
  • Financial experience understanding how we make money and pricing strategies to improve sales activity and sales results.
  • Healthcare products and solutions and how to develop and articulate value proposition.
  • People leadership and talent development.

Pay Range:$125,000 - $150,000/yr

The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate's years of experience and/or skill level.
