Job Summary

This individual will oversee the Delaware Life Operations area, including Contact Centers, New Business, In Force Processing, and Claims. The individual will be responsible for building teams efficiently within a fast-growing organization. It will be extremely important to identify and develop future leaders within the organization. This individual will be expected to ensure that the customer experience is at a level that differentiates us from our competition, creating a competitive advantage, while maintaining an appropriate budget. The individual will need to prioritize and champion projects that will support this goal. To ensure success this individual will need to be comfortable interacting with a diverse group of stake holders including, IT, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Distribution, and Product to ensure continuity and success across the organization. To be effective in the Vice President, Annuity Operations, this individual will need to possess strong analytical skills, have relevant industry experience, strong annuity product knowledge, expertise with administrative platforms, and the ability to multitask.

Main Accountabilities

  • Ensure that the customer experience is a differentiator for the organization.
  • Create efficiencies across all aspects of operations with an eye on scalability.
  • Develop a strong leadership team.
  • Lead effort to build an effective training and development plan for a growing organization.
  • Utilize cost benefit analysis to determine which projects will offer the most benefit to the company and our customers.
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment of goals.
  • Develop success measures and meaningful KPI's for annuity operations and associated teams.
  • Ensure that the teams are operating within all state and federal regulations pertaining to insurance products.
  • Coordinate closely with the distribution team and set clear expectations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Graduate Degree
  • 10+ years of related industry experience
  • Experience leading and building out multiple cross functional teams.
  • Experience developing future leader.
  • Ability to perform cost benefit analysis on complex projects.
  • Experience running call centers and processing teams.
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse group of stakeholders from various business areas.
  • Understanding of a broad range of insurance products and services
  • Understanding of state and federal regulations pertaining to annuities
  • Experience with distinct types of distribution channels and expectations within the marketplace.
  • Strong problem solving and as well as written and verbal communication.
