Axogen Mission and Business Purpose

Job Summary of the Talent Acquisition Specialist

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is primarily responsible for providing support for our talent acquisition function while assisting other functions within the HR department such as employee relations, talent management, and talent development. This is a full-time on-site position based in Vandalia, OH reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition. This position is responsible for scheduling complex interview agendas with multiple leaders, interviewing and selecting qualified temporary and hourly employees, as well as tracking and reporting on hiring metrics.

Requirements of the Talent Acquisition Specialist
  • High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least 3 years of Recruiting or Staffing experience
  • Experience managing and negotiating with agencies is preferred
  • Experience reviewing and assisting with creating job descriptions is preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency; ability to prioritize
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems; Greenhouse preferred
  • Complex scheduling experience is strongly preferred
Responsibilities of the Talent Acquisition Specialist

The specific duties of the Talent Acquisition Specialist include but are not limited to:
  • Oversees the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding for temporary and direct hire positions while creating a positive first impression for candidates and new hires. (For example, making sure the new hire paperwork is all completed)
  • Partners with the Talent Acquisition team and leaders to schedule candidates with complex interview agendas, including rescheduling interviews, which can be last minute and require immediate attention.
  • Organizes and book candidate travel arrangements.
  • Processes expense reports for external candidates.
  • Assists with career fairs and university/college hiring events as needed.
  • Works with local agency partners to interview and select temporary employees for Axogen.
  • Manages relationships and negotiate contracts with third party recruiting agencies when needed.
  • Owns organizational metrics and reports out weekly, monthly, and quarterly HR analytics regarding hiring and turnover.
  • Investigates areas of high turnover and take necessary steps to reduce turnover and/or proactively recruist to reduce the amount of time positions are open.
  • Assists managers with updating or creating job descriptions when needed.
  • Partners with HR Business Partner in investigations for employee relations issues and creates IDP's and PIP's as needed.
  • Coaches and trains hiring managers on how to properly interview and recruit top talent.
  • Other duties as assigned

This position is eligible for an annual bonus. Salary Range

$55,075-$68,843 USD

Axogen is on a hybrid work schedule for some of our positions based out of our headquarters in Florida, with 3 days in office and 2 days remote. The hybrid work schedule does not include sales or facilities in Ohio or Texas.

Axogen follows healthcare system guidelines with respect to credentialing, vaccinations and other employment/compliance related requirements, as well as CDC guidance. Axogen reserves the right to amend its policies from time to time in its sole discretion.
