The SVP, Strategic Initiatives leads the development and implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at achieving long-term goals and objectives. This position collaborates with senior leadership to align strategic initiatives with business priorities and enhance overall organizational performance. The role leads activities across organizational boundaries, and develops and executes strategy for critical initiatives while leading teams through change, and managing complex, cross platform enterprise-wide programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads and develops a high-performing team of project management and strategic initiative professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Provides direct oversight and governance of project management processes, ensuring adherence to best practices and project delivery standards.
  • Drives the effective management of enterprise-level projects, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and successful execution within established timeliness and business plans.
  • Serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership and business units, offering expert guidance on business strategy and operational excellence.
  • Collaborates with senior leaders to integrate strategic initiatives with cross-functional activities, promoting a unified and cohesive approach to achieving organizational objectives.
  • Standardizes and improves project processes, improves resource allocation, and drives continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Maintains current knowledge of company strategy, objectives, and regulatory changes impacting business plan
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, include but not limited to compliance and operational risk. Demonstrate consideration for Cenlar's reputation as well as our clients, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
  • Ensure all activities are in accordance with Cenlar's approved risk appetite statement and applicable compliance and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 12 years of management/strategy experience with direct interaction with senior executives
  • Minimum of 5 years of financial services experience, mortgage servicing experience preferred
  • Proven experience at planning, organizing, directing, and guiding, work efforts of complexity while influencing key stakeholders
  • Lead major, complex programs and projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and collaborate across all organizational levels
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
  • Ability to motivate and engage employees and leaders not in direct reporting line
  • Strong emotional intelligence; Ability to work effectively across teams, overcome resistance and navigate a complex organization
  • Effective listening, communication, and presentation skills to present complex topics to senior management in a persuasive manner
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire outstanding performance through collaboration
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills to develop mutually acceptable solutions utilizing available resources with diverse perspectives
  • Excellent coaching and counseling skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi task to manage multiple large-scale complex projects enterprise-wide
  • Proven people, strategic and tactical leader
  • Resourceful and aggressive ability to research all facets of the industry
  • Ability to conceptualize long-term business goals and develop orderly process of planning to accomplish goals
