Antea USA, Inc. (Antea®Group) is a global provider of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHS&S) services and solutions across multiple industries. We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Planning Consultant to join our growing Sustainability Practice and act as Service Line Leader. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in Sustainability Planning with proven excellence in leadership and management and the ability to identify and cultivate new business opportunities. You will work closely with our clients to develop and implement strategies to achieve their environmental and sustainability goals while balancing economic and social considerations.
This role is full-time with travel up to an estimated 20%. The role may be remote and the candidate is not required to be located in one of the cities in the U.S. office locations of Antea Group.
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for the Sustainability Planning service line, including developing and implementing growth strategies, identifying new service offerings, and ensuring quality control.
- Lead and manage a wide range of sustainability planning and assessment projects, including:
- Current State Assessments: Evaluate clients' existing sustainability performance, programs, and initiatives.
- Gap Assessments: Conduct comprehensive gap analyses to identify areas for improvement and alignment with frameworks like CSRD, GRI, and SASB.
- Peer Benchmarking: Benchmark clients' sustainability performance against industry best practices and competitors.
- Materiality Assessments: Conduct single and double materiality assessments to identify and prioritize sustainability impacts and dependencies (in accordance with CSRD and other relevant frameworks)
- Sustainability Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive sustainability strategies, including setting goals, targets, and roadmaps for implementation.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients and potential clients, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to the growth of the Sustainability Planning service line.
- Manage projects effectively, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and client satisfaction.
- Mentor and develop a team of sustainability professionals.
- Stay abreast of emerging sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices, and contribute to the development of thought leadership materials.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent training preferred in sustainability management, business administration, finance or a related field
- 8-12 years of proven experience in sustainability planning, assessments, and strategy development.
- Deep understanding of ESG frameworks, reporting standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, CSRD), and emerging regulations.
- Experience conducting materiality assessments, gap analyses, and peer benchmarking.
- Excellent project management and budget management skills.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships and drive business development.
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex ESG and sustainability concepts to senior leadership (C-Suite, Board level).
- Experience driving multi-phase projects with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and service lines.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear expectations, role clarity, and effective leadership to a team of emerging consultants. This includes navigating workload fluctuations and providing guidance on utilizing credited hours during periods of low client work is critical.

- Potential employees must be able to satisfactorily complete a background check, pre-employment drug screening (as permitted by law), and baseline physical (safety-sensitive roles). They must also have a valid driver's license and good driving record.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment - Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, which may include the following:

- Occasional lifting and carrying of low (under 25lbs) to moderate (25-49lbs) weight objects
- Repetitive motions: substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (including reaching)
- Subject to inside environmental conditions (protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change)
- Operation of a motor vehicle
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSThe annual salary range for this position is $110,000 - $125,000. Compensation will vary depending on the applicant's job-related knowledge and skills, education, and work experience.
