Job Responsibilities

Pennoni Associates is currently seeking a Survey Crew Chief working out of the Pennoni Office in Leesburg, VA with experience consistent, but not limited to:

• Being responsible for Boundary, ALTA/NSPS Land Title, topographic, construction stakeout, HD Laser Scanning, and all facets of land surveying
• Proficiency with operation of total stations, data collectors, GPS systems and robotic instruments
• Ability to work alone or with a crew
• Ability to perform post processing and QA/QC checks on work performed including reduction of field notes and compare design slopes and grades to field located information
• Must demonstrate clear commitment to delivering excellent customer service exemplified by the finished work product, be it a support service or tangible end-product

Required Attributes:

• High School diploma
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in the field as a surveyor. Due to the unique nature of consulting engineering and planning services, prior experience in our industry is highly desirable.
• Clean driving record with valid driver's license and ability to pass USDOT driver check
• Ability to pass client required drug and alcohol testing

Preferred Attributes:

• Understand Field Surveying Process and Procedures and operating Leica Robotic Total Stations, Data Collectors and Leica Captivate Software
• Leica GPS RTK units and Survey Data Collectors
• Leica RTK360 High-Definition Laser Scanner
• Desire to grow and expand knowledge in land surveying
• Ability to work out of town as needed or requested
