Nature & Purpose of Position:

The Technical Director is responsible for managing the technical aspects of live production at KSHU7, including video switching, camera work, and sound quality during broadcasts.

Other Requirements for the Position:

• Production Direction:
• Oversee the operation of broadcast equipment during live shows.
• Switch between camera feeds, graphics, and pre-recorded segments during broadcasts.
• Leads and preps broadcast crews with cues for timing and operation of gear.
• Understands and anticipates the flow of each production.
• Studio Operation:
• Understands signal routing of each studio for varying configurations of shows.
• Ensure audio-visual quality and troubleshoot any technical issues.
• Coordinates gear in a manner that synchronizes audio and visual quality.
• Production Coordination:
• Collaborates with producers and other technical staff to create production schedules and scripts for each production.
• Plans, outlines, and creates cues or timelines for broadcasts with documentation and standard operating procedures.
