Position Summary: 
The Student Athlete Psychologist at Oklahoma StateUniversity Center for Health Sciences (OSU-CHS) reports directly to the TeamPsychiatrist and is primarily responsible for providing a wide array of psychologicalservices to student athletes in Stillwater on the OSU Campus.

Physical Requirement: 
Abilityto lift and carry in excess of 100 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger,grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or withoutreasonable accommodations.

-Be innovative Education & Experience Position Qualifications: Qualifications: 
-Master's or Doctorate degree in counseling, psychology, marriage and family therapy, social work, or closely related mental health field required
-Minimum of 2 years' experience in counseling or mental health setting
-Licensed or license eligible as professional counselor, social worker, or marriage and family therapist. or equivalent 
-Experience facilitating individual counseling with clients is required.

Skills, Proficiencies, and Knowledge:
-Provide personal counseling services to student athletes via in person and video formats which include crisis intervention, psychotherapeutic, situational, relational, and developmental counseling
-Implement theory and evidence-based therapy programs and services
-Assist in drug testing for student athletes
-Utilize technology as appropriate for off-site students and trainees
-Build community relations with efforts of establishing a referral platform
-Provide statistical reports regarding student engagement of services 
-Document all patient interaction in the EMR system
-Participate in committees and meetings as assigned by the Team Psychiatrist
-Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred:
-Background in working with college population
-Background in working with athletes and/or high performers
-Ability to empathize with diverse clients
-Experience in developing, teaching, and presenting behavioral health related classes and activity-based workshops
