Their work is focused on identifying the most practical, science-based solutions for addressing some of society's most pervasive and preventable health issues, such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and other chronic conditions and to raise the standards of scientific investigation that matters for health. SPRC investigators are collaborating on numerous, long-term projects designed to translate research into effective ways to promote well-being at every stage of life.Dr. Ying Chen's lab at SPRC focuses on developing and applying advanced statistical methodologies for the collection, management, and analysis of data from epidemiological studies. The Chen lab is seeking a Research Data Analyst to support a new international study on cancer early detection and etiology. The Research Data Analyst will manage and integrate study data from international and domestic study sites into a central database for analysis, ensuring data quality and consistency through rigorous quality control in compliance with study protocols on secure data transfer and management. The duties for this role include programming a REDCap portal for data collection, and using programs like SAS, STATA, and R to develop data analysis pipelines. The Research Data Analyst will also generate data reports and visualizations for study communications, and address data-related questions from the study PI, sponsor, and other stakeholders. In addition, the Research Data Analyst will be responsible for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues with data transfer and integration into the analytic dataset.Duties include:
