Position Summary:

The Sr. Talent Specialist will play a key role in supporting Thermo Fisher Scientific's next generation of learning via talent operations, data analytics, and program support.

The Sr. Talent Specialist will have four key areas of focus:

  • Training Delivery and Vendor Management
  • Learning System Administration and Optimization
  • Talent Operations and Program Support
  • Talent Data Analysis and Reporting
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage vendor partnerships and coordination to support instructor-led training (ILT) and virtual instructor-led training (vILT) execution and delivery.
  • Manage Talent Development learning system administration needs in the learning management system (LMS) and learning experience platform (LxP), including item setup, reporting, attendance, and notifications.
  • Partner with Program Managers to create program schedules and lead Talent Development demand planning activities.
  • Lead reporting and data analysis activities using key systems, such as Microsoft Power BI Dashboarding, Microsoft Forms, LMS, and LXP.
  • Develop and deploy analytical tools to measure the impact and efficiency of various learning solutions across the organization and use the data to make ongoing improvements to existing content.
  • Provide administrative and design support for our LXP systems (e.g., EdCast and LinkedIn Learning).
  • Manage the nomination and registration process (LMS) for assigned programs, providing a seamless enrollment experience for participants, and ensuring a great experience throughout the development sessions.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in Talent Management/ Learning Systems related role or educational equivalency with additional years of related experience
  • 3+ years in creating dashboards in Power Bi or like software
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite of products (e.g., Excel, SharePoint, Lists, Teams, and Forms).
  • Prior experience managing all aspects of high-volume event delivery (ideally training) in person and virtually
  • Demonstrated interest and proficiency using Generative AI tools
  • Experience with 'Learning Management Systems' and/or 'Learning Experience Platforms'.
  • Ability to lead global projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to prepare communication materials, for both presentations and email delivery.
  • Ability to quickly shift, multi-task and be flexible to changing priorities.
  • Minimal travel required to support in-person programs.
  • Learning and development experience preferred.
  • Power Automate experience preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103,100.00-$137,500.00.
