Software Engineer

Alteryx is searching for a Software Engineer (Remote)

Overview:

As a Software Engineer at Alteryx, you'll help develop our enterprise-class, advanced analytics platform. You'll share your skills, innovation, and experience with a team of talented engineers, guiding the way on software design and best practices and helping to solve some of our most challenging technical problems. You'll find yourself able to stretch and grow in almost any direction you choose, while building data analytics experience that will delight users and directly impact the bottom line. Along the way, you'll be working with friendly people who are as passionate about software as you are.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Software Engineer to help us build and update our analytical software in the cloud. We're looking for engineers that are motivated self-starters that can work a feature from start to finish. You're a solid team player with experience of delivering alongside other engineers. You're highly motivated to learn new tools and technologies. The tech stack for this project is Golang, Java, Spring Boot, Docker and Kubernetes.

Required Skills:

• 1+ years of experience in an engineering position.
• Knowledge of and experience with object oriented and functional design patterns.
• Solid skills in critical thinking, decision making, problem solving, and attention to detail.

Valued Skills:

• Java and/or Golang application development in a professional environment. Experience with compiled languages.
• Experience with RESTful APIs. Docker, Kubernetes and deploying microservices at scale. Experience working on high-performance distributed systems. An understanding of concurrency models.
• Experience using source control systems with a preference for Git.
• Experience designing decoupled and highly testable applications.
• Experience with distributed software communication.
• Knowledge of systems design and development preferably leveraging open source and open standards.
• Understanding and commitment to modern software engineering principles/processes (Agile, Lean, DevOps) and continuous improvement through measurement.

Compensation:

compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.

The salary range for this role in California, Colorado, Washington, Texas, and Rhode Island is $120,000 - $135,000.

Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits (subject to eligibility), including Commission, Bonus, medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others
