Duties: This position involves serving as an interventionist on a NIH funded study delivering a problem solving therapy intervention to family caregivers of hospice patients. The position involves delivering intervention sessions in person or over video to research participants. The Interventionist will assist with various activities of the study. The interventionist will travel to homes to deliver intervention sessions according to study protocol; complete necessary documentation; maintain compliance with human subject's standards and research protocols and prepare reports for institutional review board and funding agencies.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required in education, social work, psychology, counseling, nursing or health related field with a minimum of 3-5 years work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Excellent interpersonal skills with sensitivity to working with older adults with cognitive impairment and family caregivers in the home environment. Prior experience in working with diverse populations is essential. Ability to maintain confidentialy and exercise discretion pertaining to the work environment. Strong oral and written communication skills required. The successful candidate will possess initiative, sound judgment, and decision-making skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines is essential. Strong PC skills in MS office and related databases. Prior RedCap experience a plus. Must own or have access to a car; valid drivers licenses required.
