Software Engineer - Production Support

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work within an agile scrum team in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  
• Analyze and troubleshoot software bugs, performance issues, and system outages.
  
• Provide tier-2 support for production issues, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
  
• Document issues, resolutions, and processes to enhance knowledge sharing within the team.
  
• Collaborate with development teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support as needed.
  
• Participate in team intake and code review sessions.
  
• Ensure that all changes meet quality standards before deployment to production.
  
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the support workflow.
  
• Protect operations by improving security and by keeping information confidential.
  
• Support and develop Zelis and the Information Technology group by providing advice, coaching and educational opportunities.
  
• Follows established HIPAA, Compliance & Security policies.
  

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 3+ years software engineering experience, preferably production support
  
• C#, SQL Server, GIT and Visual Studio
  
• Code debugging and data analysis
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  
• Must be able to work on-call and rotations
  

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  
• SQL Query tuning
  
• Unit Testing
  
• Jira
  

Familiarity with:

• Software Architecture
  
• Software Design
  
• Software Development Fundamentals

We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India.
