We are seeking a Software Developer I to work on a team at our client site in Newport Beach, CA.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Software Developer I, you will play a key role in delivering meaningful software solutions. You will join a dedicated and self-organizing agile team in developing our next generation applications, data transformation, and automation tools in the cloud. Technical capabilities aside, if you are a mission-driven self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering culture, this role will motivate you.
What You'll Do:
- Analyzes business problems, evaluate technology solutions, and build cutting edge software.
- Partners with the business and other technical experts across the enterprise to discover and incubate new solutions for the business.
- Executing a project from requirements gathering to working software that can be deployed to production.
- Mine large and complex datasets for insights and conversion to new product features.
- Participate in peer reviews and technology collaboration with other Engineers, Architects and Analysts across the Pacific Life Technology team.
Factors for Success
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in software development, data, and architecture design. 1+ years of cloud and automation expertise.
- Hands-on experience developing software, data integration, process automation and API services (preferably in the cloud).
- Strong foundation with modern SDLC in various technologies (AWS Services, RDBMS, NOSQL, Python, C# on Windows/Linux OS)
- Good working knowledge for a variety of automation, integration, and business process management solutions.
- Experience being part of a fast-paced agile software development team;
- Desire to learn and develop technical skills in software engineering and automation tools.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Must Have
- Hands-on experience developing software, data integration, process automation and API services (preferably in the cloud).
