As a top-level Service Center Repair Technician, you'll expertly diagnose and repair products while providing coaching and skill development to lower-level technicians. You'll perform troubleshooting and repairs on desktops, laptops, gaming consoles, mobile phones, accessories and components. To protect customer data privacy, you'll sanitize all media or storage-like devices using proprietary tools and systems. In this role, you'll be empowered to fix any customer issue and demonstrate expertise in our business areas and strategies.
This role takes place at Geek Squad city, our 240,000-square-foot repair center in Brooks, Kentucky.
What you'll doProvide timely follow-up and ultimate resolution for customers including phone, chat and other platformsComplete functionality testing, quality testing and troubleshooting for repair, replacement, life cycle management and data sanitizationPartner with leaders to solve complex, long-term issues and inefficiencies to improve our customer experience and build brand loyaltyMaintain professionalism, emotional intelligence, empathy and optimism in all communications and interactions with customersProvide recommendations on training materials for onboarding and staff developmentUse multiple systems (Breeze, OMS, STAR, GSX/AST2, OCIS, RSS, Linux, Gozer, Comergent, FMS and others) to document all interactionsBasic qualifications5 years of experience diagnosing and repairing consumer electronics6 months of experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing technology products6 months of experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Unix and Apple operating systems6 months of experience using proprietary systems or inventory-related systemsAble to stand and sit for long periods of timeAble to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining organizedAble to lift weight up to 25 pounds with or without accommodationAble to multitask and demonstrate strong attention to detailPreferred qualificationsConsumer electronics manufacturer repair certificationFluent in both English and SpanishWhat's in it for you
