Overview

SUMMARY

Arcticom, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Senior Systems Engineer for the Ground Based Air Defense Engineering and Logistics Contract at Quantico, VA. The Senior Systems Engineer will support the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) portfolio.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

• Recommend Developmental Test/Operational Test (DT/OT) engineering, management, and analysis requirements
• Development and validation of test procedures for assessment and reporting
• Analysis and Development of metrics supporting Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM)
• Development of test architecture and test diagrams of systems under rest to include operation of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) software and hardware
• Development of required documentation for the planning, testing, and reporting of systems under test
• Identification of potential risks to systems under test
• Recommendation to mitigate risks to schedule and cost

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAOs)

• This position requires at least 8+ years' experience supporting the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) portfolio
• STEM related bachelor's degree (math, engineering, statistics, physics, etc.).
• Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and MS Project

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

• This position requires an Active SECRET security clearance.

Preferred

• ACQ 1010 - Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management (*required* within 6-months after hire)
• TST 1100 - Intro to Systems Engineering for Testers (*required* within 9-months after hire)
• CLE 001 - Value Engineering (desired)
• LOG 104 - Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) (desired)
• PMT 0170 - Risk Management (desired)

NECESSARY PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.

DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation "safety-sensitive" functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. CONUS Travel for this effort is estimated to be 10-15% of total support annually.

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
