Scope of Position
Software Engineering Team is a solution-driven team that provides custom development services, enterprise application platforms, workflow services and tailored analytics to improve business processes and leverage existing solutions within organization. Our team accomplishes these services by utilizing analysts to understand our business processes and systems, utilizing technical and solution architects to validate the technical direction of the designed solution, and utilizing developers to develop and integrate the solution. Our solutions engage many roles in our organization (internally and externally) including clinicians, researchers, administrators and shared services.

Position Summary

Designs, develops, implements and deploys web applications, services and reports to meet business process initiatives. Responsible for designing complex web architecture, leveraging security standards, and ensuring application functionality and user accessibility. Ongoing support of new and existing solutions.

Fully experienced professional. Typically the most prevalent job level within Career Band. May serve as informal resource for less experienced colleagues. Applies industry knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principals, and technical capabilities to perform tasks and projects. Works on complex projects of large scope; may refer to precedents and defined parameters. Completes routine work independently; receives general guidance on new projects. Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives. Exchanges information on sensitive matters. Works to build consensus.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Four years of experience in Information Technology (preferably experience in Application Development, Software Engineering, etc.).
  • Extensive experience in the full software development lifecycle, particularly within Agile/Scrum environments, including design, development, and deployment of high-quality software through collaborative teamwork.
  • Experience in web application development / design using MVC, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, jQuery and other JavaScript Libraries.
  • Experience in application and microservice development using languages such as ASP.NET Core / C#.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server for Database Design, Reporting Services, and Integration Services.
  • Experience with cloud technologies or a strong ability to quickly learn and adapt, enabling effective contributions to cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience in the DevOps area, with a strong understanding of CI/CD practices, automation tools, and infrastructure as code, to enhance development and operational efficiency.
  • Experience in implementing security and accessibility best practices in software design.
  • Ability to independently manage complex projects with medium to large scope, ensuring successful delivery from inception to completion.
  • Ability to develop and apply innovative approaches to application problems and opportunities.
  • Experience in gathering and understanding customer business and technical requirements, with the ability to communicate these effectively to developers, business analysts, user experience designers, and leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of n-tier architecture and object-oriented concepts, principles, and techniques.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including strong written and verbal abilities, to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
