What you'll do...

We are seeking an exceptional and dynamic professional to join our team as a Senior Manager - Chief of Staff (Strategy and Operations). This role will oversee strategic business initiatives, from development through successful execution, under the guidance of senior leadership and department heads. The Senior Manager will serve as a trusted advisor, assisting and communicating with executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation. This individual will be responsible for reviewing, designing, and executing improvements to the organizational structure, optimizing processes for efficiency and productivity, and driving strategic growth.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, excellent communication abilities, financial acumen, and a consulting skillset.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Oversight:

  • Identify and drive prioritization of initiatives for growth, profitability, and sustainability while considering risks and mitigants. Build and use business knowledge to determine which cross-team activities must be prioritized by becoming a subject matter expert.
  • Oversee strategic business initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to guide and execute initiatives.
  • Review and analyze current processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize efficiency.

2. Communication and Liaison:
  • Serve as a liaison between staff, executives, senior leaders, and the Group Director, providing updates, proposals, and planning information.
  • Demonstrate a bias to action, handling inquiries and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications.
  • Develop compelling stories and presentations that communicate progress and impact of strategic initiatives. Adapt communication style to suit different audiences and situations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with employees to increase efficiency and responsiveness within operations.
  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment and exercise critical thinking to propose effective path forward
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a high-structure mindset to frame and tackle complex open-ended problems

3. Operational Management:
  • Collaborate with senior managers and department leaders to oversee daily operations.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as managing calendars, generating correspondence, and maintaining files.
  • Assist the human resources department with new hires, documentation, onboarding, and employee concerns.

4. Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and build relationships with employees to understand existing operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Group Director and other executives on special projects to define new operational strategies.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support strategic decision-making and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Utilize financial data and analysis to evaluate the financial performance and feasibility of strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to develop financial models and projections.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on resource allocation and budget optimization.

5. Change Management:
  • Drive organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new processes or strategies.
  • Develop change management plans, including communication strategies, training programs, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Monitor and assess the impact of change efforts, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

6. Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and synergy.
  • Delegate responsibilities and tasks effectively, ensuring the team's success in achieving objectives.

7. Stakeholder Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including board members, clients, and partners.
  • Serve as a representative of the organization in meetings, conferences, and other events, effectively articulating the strategic vision and goals.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Seven or more years of experience in a business management or executive role.
  • Consulting experience and skillset.
  • Experience in organizing and directing multiple teams and departments.
  • Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Versatile abilities and extreme dedication to efficient productivity.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations , or related field and 3 years' experience in operations, project management, or related area OR 5 years' experience in operations, project management, or related area. 1 year's supervisory experience.
