To support this exciting work, we are looking for a Senior Manager Manufacturing Operations to join our Electric Power team.

As the Senior Manager Manufacturing Operations , you will oversee and direct daily plant operations including manufacturing, quality, manufacturing engineering, safety, maintenance and regulatory compliance. This position will report directly to the Director of Operations and Supply Chain. In this role you will be responsible for:

What you will do:

  • Directing all aspects of manufacturing for the plant to produce cost-effective, timely and high-quality products in a safe working environment.
  • Managing development, implementation and continual improvement of the operating methods, equipment, systems, and other operating infrastructure used to realize operating goals and objectives.
  • Directing development of production work schedules to meet internal goals and customer expectations; monitoring process and personnel performance of scheduled work activities to remove operating impediments and achieve established operating goals.
  • Inspire, motivate, and develop the operations team.
  • Manage all dimensions of the facility by setting directions for the facility using insights and safety performance.
  • Ensure production scheduling can be met in a lean manufacturing environment to satisfy assembly line and parts schedule requirements.
  • Partner with support organizations (Medical, Business Resources, Environment, Health & Safety, Human Resources, Design Engineering, Project management) and Supply Chain.
  • Annual business planning and execution.
  • Leading continuous improvement process, making sure innovative ideas are generated, worked, and implemented, while eliminating roadblocks.
  • Develop detailed new-term and long-term production plans.
  • Clearly communicate facility results and strategy to senior leadership.

What You Have:

  • Previous manufacturing experience, including experience in manufacturing leadership, preferably in a design to order environment
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred

Budgeting : Extensive knowledge of organization's budget process; ability to apply policies and practices for planning and administering a budget.

Quality Management : Extensive knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.

Analytical Thinking : Extensive knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

Planning and Organizing : Expert knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

Manufacturing Operations : Expert knowledge of manufacturing operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products.

Manufacturing Safety : Extensive knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment, and site.

Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies : Extensive knowledge of organizational standards, procedures, and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.

  • The location for this position is Griffin, GA
  • Domestic relocation IS offered for this role. (U.S.)
  • This position may require up to 10% travel.
