Position: Senior Accountant

Duration: Temp to hire

Salary: 80,000-100,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management:
  
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for construction projects.
  • Monitor project budgets and costs to ensure financial performance aligns with company goals.
  • Manage project-related financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Project Accounting:
  
  • Oversee job costing, revenue recognition, and billing processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project financials.
  • Collaborate with project managers to track project progress and financial status.
• Compliance and Auditing:
  
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
• Process Improvement:
  
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain financial controls and procedures.
• Team Leadership:
  
  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
  • Facilitate training and development programs to enhance team capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in construction accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and construction industry financial practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
