As a Safety Supervisor at our client, a food manufacturer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring their company's compliance with all safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety among their employees. You'll work closely with management to identify potential hazards, develop and implement safety training programs, and investigate accidents to prevent future occurrences.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- Conduct safety training sessions and orientations
- Investigate accidents and identify root causes
- Maintain safety records and files
- Chair the company safety committee
- Liaise with regulatory agencies
- High School Diploma (Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety Sciences or related field preferred)
- 2+ years of experience as a Safety Supervisor or Safety Specialist conducting training and accident investigations
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food or beverage
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations
- OSHA certification required
- Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
