Baer is looking for SAFe System Architect - Interface/Conversion Lead for a 12-month Federal remote project.

Title: SAFe System Architect - Interface/Conversion Lead
Location: Remote (Must be based in US)
Duration: 12 months
Rate: All-inclusive
Alignment: W2 or C2C

Description:

• Lead the interface and conversion efforts as part of the SAFe system architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and QA engineers, to design and implement agile solutions that support system interfaces and data conversions.
• Provide technical guidance and support for interface and conversion-related activities, ensuring adherence to SAFe principles.
• Design and document the architecture of system interfaces, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Plan and execute data conversion strategies to ensure smooth data migration and integrity across systems.
• Develop and enforce architectural best practices and standards for system interfaces, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in interface and conversion processes, focusing on automation, performance optimization, and reducing manual intervention.
• Coordinate with integration teams to ensure that interfaces are tested thoroughly and integrated successfully into the broader system architecture.
• Monitor and resolve interface and conversion-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to provide regular updates on interface and conversion progress, risks, and mitigations.
• Stay current on emerging trends in system integration, data migration, and agile methodologies, and proactively apply new knowledge to improve project outcomes.
• Support the creation of documentation, training materials, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to facilitate the adoption of best practices in interface and conversion management.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a System Architect in complex, large-scale environments, with a focus on interfaces and data conversion.
• Strong understanding of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and agile methodologies.
• Expertise in designing and implementing system interfaces, including experience with integration protocols (e.g., REST, SOAP, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with data mapping, transformation tools, and migration techniques.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practices and tools.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., SAFe, TOGAF) are highly desirable.
