Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Recovery Support Navigator in the OTP Pregnant and Parenting Women Program at Behavioral Health Network!

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the PPW program with the following:

  • Work collaboratively pregnant and/or parenting person served to identify needed services for recovery and parenting to create and coordinate a plan of safe care.
  • Work with person served around: perinatal health and support, housing, healthcare, income, SUD and mental health needs.
  • Ability to coordinate and share local resources with the pregnant/parenting person served including but not limited to lactation support, parenting support groups, childcare resources, parents in recovery programs etc.
  • Coordinate and liaison with DCF and Early Intervention staff to facilitate engagement and self-advocacy.
  • Assist pregnant/parenting person served in understanding of DCF custody assessment process and support person in advocating for custody as appropriate. Assist person served in following through on a Plan of Safe Care and/or DCF Family Action Plan if an open case exists.
  • Provide temporary assistance with transportation to essential appointments while establishing community based transportation.
  • Connect person served with insurance eligible care coordination
  • Assist person served with housing resources as needed.

Who are we?

BHN/OTP is a Medication Assisted Treatment Program to assist individuals who are addicted to opiates and are experiencing their dysfunctional effects to gain and maintain the skills needed to achieve an opiate-free lifestyle. The OTP program uses evidence-based medication protocols approved by the Medical Director to ensure patients safely detox from these substances. These protocols are implemented through assessment and re-assessment practices throughout the process.

What are we looking for in a position?
  • Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology or related field required. A waiver may be considered for individuals with relevant experience, CADC certification, and other demonstrated case management and recovery support skills.
  • CADAC/LADC preferred
  • 3-5 years of work experience in a related community based substance use disorders, behavioral health, and/or related human services field is required.
  • Lived experience and recovery from substance use issues is strongly preferred.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Knowledge of community resources for individuals served and how to access them preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle and insurance is required
