Our client is seeking a Project Financial Analyst in Raleigh, NC/ Hybrid.

Role Description

Everyday is a different set of projects, must be creative and flexible to take things and shift as they come. This role will be the organization expert in all things project forecasting. They will get project approval requests and gather third party tech vendors quotes/SOWs and input into Excel to understand current and future costs. They will then be responsible for tracking the flow of project codes and reconciling all costs - ensuring no errors from accounting or IT teams.

All project related work. Helps team to understand spend on a project (ROI, payback period - net spend/save), financial analysis to build business case. Work with the Project Owner and Project Manager daily once project approved. Update workday financials daily. Help to understand the actual spend that came in, teach how to forecast, etc. Involves some troubleshooting and digging in. Currently there is a gap in how the expenses are being processed versus how its showing in their system.

We are looking for someone junior with some financial experience. Someone who is a go getter, takes initiatives, resourceful (able to connect with people to find answers), problem solver, able to find the needle in the haystack when it comes to trouble shooting financials.

Skills & Requirements

• 4+ years' experience with FP&A - does not need to be specifically related to project financials
• Variance Analysis
• Financials troubleshooting - ie finding issues "needle in the haystack"
• White glove service - interfacing with executives and senior leadership - must have excellent communication skills
• Heavy Excel skills
• Dashboard reporting skills (if they've built any dashboards, would be a huge plus).
• Nice to have some exposure with Workday and PowerBI, but not a make or break.
• Experience with FPNA (financial planning/analysis
• Strong Excel experience
• Exceptional soft skills: - resourceful, strong communication (working/ senior leadership), resilience (comfortable learning/trying/failing and trying again), firm but polite
