Applicants must upload a cover letter and resume to be considered for this opening.The Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and talented Program Manager (Administrative Services Administrator 1) to join our team at Stanford Health Care. This position will report to the Administrative Division Director and will work closely with program directors, faculty members, and administrative staff in support of the Division's programs and initiatives. The Program Manager will manage the complex needs of the Faculty Development Program, Stanford Jane Scholars Program, Stanford Mentorship and Advancement in Research and Training for Hospital Medicine (SMART-HM), Wellness Program, and initiatives in the areas of: diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), quality improvement (QI), and faculty recruitment. They may also supervise administrative staff. The candidate must be highly organized, detail oriented, and able to multi-task and work independently under limited supervision.This exciting opportunity will require excellent judgement, communication, organization and time management, leadership, interpersonal skills, and the ability to take initiative. The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative team and contribute to a positive and productive work culture.Our Division is comprised of 130 faculty members (and growing) spanning 5 diverse clinical sections, across 3 facilities in the Bay Area (Stanford Health Care, Sequoia Hospital, and Tri-Valley). We are committed to excellence in clinical inpatient medicine, medical education, quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and a broad research portfolio ranging from COVID-19 clinical trials to informatics and AI.Duties include:

    Independently implement, administer and evaluate day-to-day activities of the unit, function or program by identifying and executing tasks and objectives, making recommendations that impact policies and programs, and assigning resources to achieve the goals of the program.Collect and analyze data, create reports, review and explain trends; formulate and evaluate alternative solutions and/or recommendations to achieve the goals of the program or function.Analyze and interpret policies; develop, revise and implement procedures for program or function.Represent the program or function as the key contact and subject matter expert within the department, unit or school. Commit resources and provide information and/or training. May also represent the program or function to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies.Organize and/or participate in outreach activities that may include developing communications and training, planning/promoting events and/or conferences.May participate in development of budgets, monitor, and approve expenditures. May perform limited forecasting and provide recommendations that determine the budget.May direct staff to perform various tasks and assignments. May also supervise staff.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Master's degree in education, healthcare administration, or a related field.3-5 years of experience in program management, preferably in an academic medical setting.Prior supervisory experience.Proficiency in data management and analysis tools.Familiarity with academic medicine and faculty development programs.Strong project management skills.Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy.Demonstrated ability to prioritize own work, multitask, and respect deadlines.Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.Personal effectiveness and credibility.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
    Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
    Demonstrated ability to prioritize own work and multitask.Demonstrated excellent organizational skills.Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Ability to routinely and independently exercise sound judgment in making decisions.Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team.Relevant subject matter knowledge.Ability to direct the work of others, for jobs requiring supervision.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.Frequently stand/walk, sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation.Occasionally use a telephone.Rarely lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 11-20 pounds.

The expected pay range for this position is $99,015 to $126,383 per annum.Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.At Stanford University, base pay represents only one aspect of the comprehensive rewards package.
