Program Manager
Location: 609 H St NE, STE 200, Washington, DC 20002
This position will take part in Elevance Health's hybrid workforce strategy which includes virtual work and 1-2 days physically in office per week.
Our Ideal candidate will live within a 50-mile radius and a 1-hour commute to our Elevance Health major office (PulsePoint) in Washington, DC. Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection.
The Program Manager is responsible for managing the vendor and Certified Business Enterprise (CBE) programs by ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, managing the overall spend and budget, and leading and facilitating status meetings. Program managers typically support business strategies through an integrated portfolio of external client-facing projects or initiatives.
How You Will Make an Impact
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Establishes processes and procedures for vetting potential vendors and CBEs.
- Coordinates with the appropriate internal Business Owners to develop go / no-go recommendations to the health plan president.
- Identifies service and/or skills gaps in the health plan and works with key partners in identifying potential vendors and/or CBEs.
- Serves as a liaison between the health plan and internal Elevance Health teams such as Sourcing, Vendor Management, Billing and Payment, and other teams as necessary in support of the vendor and CBE programs.
- Manages and coordinates the development, approval, implementation, and compliance of on-going external client-facing programs.
- Develops program budget.
- Ensures programs meet their stated objectives.
- Provides subject matter expertise in response to day-to-day external client-facing business issues.
- Research applicable subject matter practices and remains aware of industry trends.
- Manages external client-facing relationships and partners with corporate and regional business areas.
- Coordinates training related to external client-facing program.
- Develops program success measures and performs periodic assessments of program success.
Minimum Requirements:- Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 5 years external client-facing experience in program/project management; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, & Experiences:
- Graduate degree preferred.
- Project management certification preferred.
- Experience in healthcare or a healthcare setting strongly preferred.
- Comfortability interpreting data, identifying meaningful trends, comprehend the implications, and translate that information into actionable insights for the business.
- Ability to create and deliver articulate presentations to varied audiences.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $89,120.00 to $153,732.00 annually.
Location: District of Columbia (Washington, DC).
