How the Product Owner contributes to the department:

  • Drives collaboration, adoption of best practices, and ensures mission critical programs are effectively executed across Global Customer Services (GCS).
  • Team leader responsible for prioritizing and evaluative work generated by the agile development team to ensure the continuous delivery of high-value features and functionality of GCS products and services.
  • Partners with the Technical Product Manager on stakeholder customer success management
  • Provides end-to-end program leadership and oversight through the entire project life cycle - requirements gathering, work prioritization, development, testing, launch and post-live support.
  • Core Technologies: Salesforce - Sales, Service, Field Service & Community clouds, SAP - ECC/CRM


Job responsibilities:
  • Partners with the Technical Product Manager on analyzing stakeholder needs and aligning the product roadmap with strategic business goals and objectives
  • Translates Epics & Features into detailed User Stories - maps the value proposition (value statement) back to the high-level requirements and defines story acceptance criteria
  • Defines sprint objectives via continuous prioritization of stories in the product backlog
  • Responsible for the entire life cycle of a User Story (creation, refinement, estimation, implementation, delivery)
  • Leads Sprint Reviews & Demos and can clearly communicate value delivery to stakeholders
  • Lead Solution Design Sessions with business, development, and testing resources to refine technical story requirements & considerations
  • Owns technical documentation including release notes, requirement specs, technical project status and risks
  • Accountable for the execution and continuous improvement of the agile team.
  • Reviews and publishes Knowledge Articles
  • Anticipates customer/stakeholder needs at the story-level
  • Primary communicator and link between stakeholders and teams for User Stories (prioritization & execution)
  • Ensures there is buy-in from stakeholders on all story requirements and acceptance criteria

  • Partner with Sourcing and IT on Vendor Management
  • Ability to provide a high-level demo of new and existing technology for specific functional area of GCS
  • Ability to have high level technical discussion of the functionality for specific functional area of GCS
  • Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects
  • People management with direct and non-direct staff
  • Ability to delegate and follow up
  • Ability to look at all options to remove roadblocks
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of stakeholders including senior management
  • Ability to organize people cross functionally towards a common goal
  • Competent and professional communication abilities, verbal and written, on the phone and in person
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships between IT and business areas, and ensure timely support of day-to-day business processing needs
  • Ability to work virtually and in the office with project teams, stakeholders, and SME's


Qualifications:
  • Bachelors' degree in technical discipline or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years project management experience in similar role.
  • 4+ years Salesforce (Lightening or Field Service preferred) or SAP experience
  • Experience serving a Product Owner or Lead Business Analyst on an agile team
  • Experience with breaking down Epics and Features into User Stories and maintaining a prioritized and well-groomed backlog
  • In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, TDD), concepts and best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data analysis and reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint
  • Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP) desired
  • First-level Agile Certification (e.g., CSPO, CSM, PSPO) desired
  • Experience using agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, VersionOne, Rally)
