The De Paris Laboratory in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellows with interest in HIV pathogenesis and vaccine studies and in infant immune development. We are pursuing preclinical studies in nonhuman primate models and are conducting studies with human patient samples.
Our group is highly collaborative, and the candidates could leverage the career and training opportunities that are offered by UNC.
Candidates should have a PhD and/or MD degree in a science field of study.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:Candidates should have a PhD and/or MD degree in a science field of study.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:The successful candidates should have knowledge of HIV virology and immunology, with at least one peer-reviewed publication in this area. We are especially interested in candidates that have experience in single cell analysis tools (RNA-Seq, multiparameter flow cytometry), bioinformatics analysis tools, and/ or in tissue analysis. We look for individuals who can independently design and analyze experiments and who value teamwork. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
