The Division of Pulmonary, Asthma, and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University is recruiting a Pediatric Pulmonologist with a potential focus on pediatric lung heart transplantation and aerodigestive programs at our main campus. The successful candidate will join the Division as a Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor in the Clinician Educator Line. The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford is nationally ranked #10 in Pulmonology by U.S. News & World Report. We have the only pediatric lung transplant center within a 2,000-mile radius and are the sole referral center for pediatric lung transplants in this region. With one of the best post-operative outcomes for adolescents in the world, our lung transplant team at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford has performed more than 25 pediatric double lung transplants since 1989. Our team works closely with experts from our Pulmonary & Cystic Fibrosis Center. Together, we provide treatment for the full range of chronic diseases that may require lung transportation, from cystic fibrosis to genetic defects. An important component of this position is the opportunity to develop and build programs in a multi-disciplinary setting.

The successful applicant should have an MD/DO degree and Board Certification in Pediatrics, and either Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine and a California Medical License by the time of hire.

We expect the successful candidate to be outstanding clinicians with dedication to teaching, mentoring trainees and evidence of a collaborative approach. Priority will be given to candidates that have an interest in or track record of making contributions to scholarly literature.

The expected base pay range for this position is:

Clinical Assistant Professor: $228,000 - $241,000

Clinical Associate Professor: $263,000 - $275,000

Clinical Professor: $317,000 - $338,000

This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine's faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs. Stanford University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position.
