The Department of Gender and Women's Studies invites applications and nominations for a full-time open-rank (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) tenure-track faculty position in Black feminist studies, with preference for an Associate or Full Professor. We especially welcome applicants with research and teaching interests in diasporic and/or transnational approaches .

The successful candidate will demonstrate a publication history in interdisciplinary research and preparation to teach foundational courses in Gender and Women's Studies. Successful candidates are expected to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, establish and maintain an active and independent research program, and provide service to the department, the university and various publics.

A PhD in Gender and Women's Studies, African American Studies, or related field is required. Applicants must have a record of publication indicative of an associate/full professor or evidence of a promising research agenda indicative of appointments as assistant professor.

The anticipated starting date is August 16, 2025; The budgeted salary range for the position is $85-88,000 at the Assistant Professor level, $88-92,000 at the Associate Professor level, and $92-120,000 at the Full Professor level, for a 9-month service basis.
