Beacon Hill Legal's client, an East Coast Law Firm, located in Hartford, CT is seeking a Medical Malpractice Paralegal for a contract to hire opportunity. The candidate must have 1+ year of professional experience in litigation, drafting pleadings, preparing chronologies, and reviewing medical records. The candidate hired must commute to their office in Hartford, CT 5x a week and must be available to work overtime.

Responsibilities:

• Organizing case documents and files.
• Preparing pleadings and forms.
• Managing discovery including subpoenas and authorizations to obtain records.
• Completing deposition summaries.
• Reviewing medical and employment records.

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of prior litigation experience is required
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in PDF software, particularly Nuance Power PDF.
• Ability to add Bates stamping, combine files, separate files, and edit PDFs.
• Paralegal certificate is preferred
