Location: Lawndale, CA
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Medical Assistant II
Monday - Friday 8:00a - 5:00p
Occasionally Saturday

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• • The Front & Back Office Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting clinicians in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the clinician.
  • Provides front and/or back office support, greets patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Oversees patient check in by ensuring medical records/charts have been pulled and are prepared for patients?
  • Required to maintain accurate and complete documentation in patients electronic medical record.
  • Interviews patient, measures vital signs and records reason for visit.
  • Explains procedures, performs treatments, and administers prescribed medication.
  • Gives injections and draws blood.
  • Oversees patient check out by scheduling follow up appointments, collecting co pays when applicable, assuring paperwork is complete.
  • Completes and submits referrals and authorizations.
  • Assists patients with the scheduling of both internal and external future medical appointments.
  • Schedules and confirms patients appointments.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• • High School Diploma
  • Medical Assistant experience minimum 2 year - Bilingual a plus
