About the Opportunity:

The Life Fitness Internship Program 2025 is now accepting applicants in their junior and senior year. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as summer interns. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Mechanical Engineering and develop valuable skills and contribute to Life Fitness' mission and goals.

Successful applicants will be assigned meaningful and challenging work suitable for their background. The program advisor(s) and mentors will meet with you regularly to identify and develop your summer objectives. All positions are PAID The Internship Program will run for 11-weeks. THIS POSITION WILL BE IN RAMSEY, MINNESOTA.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively contribute and have an impact in a business-critical project.
  • Perform day-to-day duties and responsibilities in related field or business function.
  • Collaborate with fellow interns on an 11-week-long group case study and present the results to senior leaders, stakeholders, and managers.
  • Attend and participate in team meetings.
  • Follow Life Fitness Mechanical Engineering departmental procedures and design guidelines to complete engineering tasks as assigned.
  • Uses SolidWorks to complete CAD model and drawing development for metal and plastic components.
  • Performs engineering analyses (FEA, design calculations, and tolerance analysis) of designs under the direction of an experienced mechanical engineer or manager.

Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in full-time bachelor's degree program, graduating in 2026 or 2027.
  • Strong academic standing preferred, minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
  • Initiative, positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt well to different situations and thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
