SUMMARY

Responsible for overseeing and advancing the digital experience (DX) at AF Group for our customers and employees. This includes web, mobile and other future digital enablements the company may need. Oversees the strategic direction of User Experience across the digital ecosystem and alignment with the technology team via a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Aligns DX vision to the overall future state vision of AF Group via its Enterprise Portfolio Roadmap. This role will lead a team that works in a complex P&C specialty lines business, focused on core systems including Guidewire, Duck Creek, PowerBI, Insurity, etc. This is a newly forming practice at AF Group.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the Digital Experience roadmap planning efforts
  • Ensure strategic alignment across DX channels to support cohesive delivery of digital capabilities
  • Leads, directs and develops a high performing DX/UX team
  • Collaborates with key business leaders from across the organization to coordinate and align all DX objectives/capabilities back to business objectives and measurable ROE
  • Oversee the implementation of DX strategy and UX standards into the SAFe process and IT Standards
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles and accessibility standards throughout the project lifecycle
  • Led efforts to analyze user data and feedback to continually iterate and improve the architecture of existing digital products
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, technologies and best practices in information architecture and user experience design.
  • Oversee the implementation of programs, initiatives and activities that foster innovation in terms of product, processes, culture and communications.

  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, and/or related discipline with equivalent work experience.
  • Five or more years' experience leading teams in IT, UX Design, Digital Space, Customer Experience or similar environments utilizing an agile framework.
  • Two or more years' Hands-on experience across a wide range of infrastructure and operations concerns including, but not limited to, resource and process management, project/program management, logistics, vendor management.
  • Two or more years' experience with Property Casualty core systems particularly Guidewire solutions.
  • Experience with Business to Business to Consumer (B2B2C) business models, particularly independent insurance agents.
  • Experience managing business stakeholder relationships
  • Experience developing and documenting policies and procedures, as well as defining best practice

  • Experience leading large, complex projects
  • Experienced in the Agile development methodology
  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage tasks against deadlines as well as mitigate risks

  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Directly supervises a varied number of employees in the designated department(s). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Actual compensation decision relies on the consideration of internal equity, candidate's skills and professional experience, geographic location, market and other potential factors. It is not standard practice for an offer to be at or near the top of the range, and therefore a reasonable estimate for this role is between $90,400 and $151,500
