POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager of Marketing Strategy & Planning at Vertiv plays a critical role in developing and executing comprehensive marketing plans that align with the company's global marketing strategy. This individual will lead both marketing and cross-functional programs to ensure the successful implementation of strategic initiatives that drive business growth. They will manage Vertiv's strategic marketing roadmap across Centers of Excellence (COEs) and global regions, ensuring the marketing function supports key business objectives. By leveraging strong business acumen, deep customer insight, and a thorough understanding of Vertiv's products and solutions, this role is instrumental in crafting impactful, customer-focused marketing strategies that set Vertiv apart from the competition.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute global marketing plans that support Vertiv's broader marketing strategy, ensuring alignment across product development, technology, sales, finance, and other functions to deliver cohesive, effective plans.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and programs to drive marketing initiatives targeting key customer segments, tailoring strategies to meet business needs and ensure relevance in regional markets.
  • Manage the global strategic marketing roadmap, overseeing its deployment across COEs and regions to ensure consistency, scalability, and alignment with corporate goals.
  • Optimize and manage the marketing budget for the programs, ensuring resources are effectively allocated to maximize return on investment and deliver measurable impact.
  • Continuously improve strategic planning processes within the marketing function, enhancing visibility, communication, and execution, while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Work with Portfolio Marketing team, Sales and Offering Managers to perform competitive analysis to identify key opportunities and threats, and craft marketing strategies that clearly differentiate Vertiv in the marketplace and enhance its value proposition.
  • Develop executive-level presentations and communications for key leadership meetings, delivering insights and data to support informed, strategic decision-making.
  • Design and lead high-impact cross-functional initiatives, ensuring collaboration between departments and regions to drive marketing success and contribute to business growth.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, planning, or program management roles.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing global marketing strategies and managing their successful implementation.
  • Strong leadership experience in managing cross-functional programs, particularly across product, sales, finance, and marketing teams.
  • Expertise in budget management for large-scale marketing programs, with the ability to optimize resources for maximum impact.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and customer-centric approach, with the ability to drive initiatives that align with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.
Preferred Experience:
  • In-depth knowledge of Vertiv's products, solutions, and industry, or experience in similar technology sectors.
  • Experience managing global marketing programs across multiple regions and COEs.
  • Master's degree (MBA) or relevant certifications in marketing strategy or project management.
TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED
  • 10%
