McKesson Medical-Surgical is seeking a Manager based in or near Richmond, VA to lead the Lab Implementation team (8 Full-Time Employees). In this role, the leader is responsible for managing professional level, experienced employees to execute a best-in-class process to coordinate the implementation of lab instrumentation. This role is responsible for establishing and documenting policies and best practices for the Lab Implementation Team in coordination with Lab Services counterparts and Management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the daily activities of the lab implementation team to ensure all LIT projects are running smoothly and all service level agreements are met or exceeded to sales, vendor and customer satisfaction including development of project plans for each specific vendor/product in support of the LIT model.
  • Establish streamlined, repeatable, standard operation procedures for all aspects of Lab Implementation and ensure they are documented and shared across all team members. Drive process improvement across LIT projects and refine as needed, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop, drive and measure metrics across to team to ensure efficiency and accuracy. This includes surveys to customers, vendors and sales to get consistent feedback and drive future process changes.
  • Develop a structured, documented, virtual training program designed in support of the LIT Support Model, Asana tool and aligned with the lab sales strategy.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Lab & PC Leadership, other back-office functions as well as our vendor partners. Attend conference calls, create PowerPoint decks and present to other teams to further education and partnership.
  • Support the launch of new strategic lab vendors by working collaboratively with other cross functional stakeholders to develop corporate and/or organizational processes to implementation of new product line.
  • Drive performance and development activities including but not limited to: leading through change, performance management of your team, self-directed continuing education and training to increase productivity, performance and effectiveness.
  • Effectively communicate to & motivate the team, ensuring that they understand McKesson's strategy as it relates to LAB and the deliverables of the team
  • Attract talent for open roles ensuring focus on diversity

Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 6+ years of professional experience and 0-2 years of people leadership experience.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Proven experience exploring, building, and implementing lean processes and efficiencies for teams
  • Some knowledge of Laboratory practices preferred, but not required

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$68,800 - $114,600
