Role, Function & Organization

Work under the direction of the Department Supervisor or Branch Manager to perform pivotal functions in a challenging machine safety-oriented workplace. Develop automation and safety projects from concept to fruition using industry-accepted practices. Use creativity and work with the engineering team to develop concepts into plans. Work with the production team and field team to develop plans into deliverables. Develop quality control programs to ensure deliverables meet customer expectations. Organize and manage project documentation and provide quotes and scopes of work to customers. Perform on-site risk assessments and safety system validations. Work in conjunction with other machine safety personal located in other offices. Learn the machine safety business and grow the group in the Northeast.

Level I
An entry level machine safety engineer that executes basic safety tasks with minimal assistance and possesses the basic skills necessary to become proficient in the role performing the essential duties and responsibilities listed herein.

Level II
An experienced machine safety engineer that performs all the tasks of a Level I safety engineer regularly. Recommends and estimates specific product/service solutions. Applies knowledge of safety, circuits and code fundamentals to program and analyze safety PLC and circuits with little supervision.

Level III
A highly skilled safety engineer who can efficiently perform all the tasks of a Level II safety engineer with little to no guidance. Can solve problems independently as they arise and suggest solutions to internal and external customers. Organize and manage project documentation and gain exposure to some of the complex tasks of a project. Assists in improving the quality and efficiently of the safety group. Need little to no supervision to accomplish the tasks of the job. A highly skilled safety engineer with TUV certification who can efficiently perform all the tasks of a Level II safety engineer with no guidance. Can solve problems independently as they arise and suggest solutions to internal and external customers. Organize and manage project documentation and gain exposure to some of the complex tasks of a project. Assists in improving the quality and efficiently of the safety group. Need little to no supervision to accomplish the tasks of the job.
