RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead Principal AI Software Engineer in San Diego, CA.Duties Include:
  • Lead Principal AI Software Engineer will lead the design, development, and implementation of tools and frameworks that enhance the developer experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address pain points in the development process
  • Drive the adoption of best practices and standards across the development team
  • Integrate AI and machine learning solutions to automate and optimize development workflows
  • Plan, introduce, drive, and measure AI-centric tool options for efficiency and accuracy gains
  • Align AI-assisted tool practices in software development with the overall AI strategy driven by VPs
  • Assist in defining, mapping, and producing important and development-useful KPI standards
  • Provide direction in standardizing and coaching proper SDLC environment flows and practices
  • As a Lead Principal AI Software Engineer, you will assist in developing proper and effective software engineering manager communication and techniques across the team
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our development practices remain cutting-edge
  • Ensure that software development practices align with industry standards and best practices
  • Identify and propose new technologies, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and quality


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a Principal Software Engineer, Architect, Software Development Manager, or similar role
  • Strong expertise in software engineering, with a focus on improving developer experience
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks
  • Experience with AI and machine learning technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
  • Excellent collaboration skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; Ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment required
  • Preferred experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Preferred experience in familiarity with cloud platforms and services
  • Preferred experience in knowledge of security best practices in software development


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
