RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Kubernetes Engineer/Architect in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Englewood, CO.Responsibilities:
  • Produce architecture blueprints that guide the development and implementation of Cloud solutions across multiple products, providing direction to technical teams during project delivery and ensuring implementations support technology and product roadmaps
  • Cloud Solutions Architect provides their expertise in the development and maintenance of architecture standards and solutions that align with strategic goals and partner with product managers, business analysts, designers, and software engineers to navigate solution decisions
  • Responsible for creating solutions and presenting compelling recommendations to customers
  • Define operational procedures and practices
  • Define KPIs and set up appropriate health-checks, monitoring and escalation procedures
  • Accelerate development for roadmap features, to address specific customer requirements
  • Identify ongoing risks and pain points throughout the project, develop and implement mitigation measures
  • Improve internal processes, and promote knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the knowledge base, blogs, and brown bag lunches
  • Capture project lessons and convert them into architectural best practices applicable to the broader install base, mentor and coach the internal team through internal training sessions
  • Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to review customer requirements and feedback, and identify opportunities for platform enhancements
  • Update our processes and design new processes as needed
  • Test our system integrity, implemented designs, application developments and other processes related to infrastructure, making improvements as needed
  • Offer technical support where needed, developing software for our back-end systems


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong experience with Python
  • Strong experience with Ansible
  • Strong experience with Linux based infrastructure and Linux administration
  • Strong experience with version control and workflow tooling such as GIT (GitLab, GitHub)
  • Strong experience with CI/CD and code review process
  • Strong experience with Terraform
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker
  • Experience with CI technologies such as Jenkins, GitLab CI
  • Experience with image repositories such as Artifactory
  • Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Agile, Jira, Scrum/Kanban/SAFe, etc.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes and platform distributions such as Rancher, OpenShift, PKS
  • Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes with team and management
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
