**Job Title: Junior Accountant (Temporary Cover for Medical Leave)**

**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to cover for medical leave. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial information, ensuring robust internal controls, and supporting both domestic and international operations. Your expertise will help us maintain financial accuracy, streamline processes, and contribute to effective financial planning.

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Financial Reporting & Analysis:**
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reports comparing budgeted to actual costs for financial planning, including the Annual Operating Plan, Mid-Year Forecasts, and performance vs. plans.
- Prepare and review internal and external financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

**General Accounting Tasks:**
- Ensure timely and precise completion of general accounting duties, including:
- Cash balancing
- General ledger posting and maintenance
- Customer account management
- Daily reporting of Distributor Payables and Accounts Payable
- Review and processing of Travel & Expense reports
- Record retention and 1099 reporting
- Bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Provide financial information for state sales finance company licensing renewals and annual reports

**Process Improvement:**
- Assist in automating accounting processes to enhance efficiency, timeliness of financial reporting, and management's access to relevant business information.

**Control Environment:**
- Maintain strong internal controls to:
- Safeguard company assets
- Mitigate risks related to theft or errors
- Provide reliable product cost and margin reporting
- Support cost and cash flow management

**Communication & Support:**
- Communicate effectively with leadership to address and resolve issues, ensuring appropriate resources and corrective actions are applied.

**Skills & Abilities:**
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and AS/400, with advanced Excel skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.

**Minimum Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA is a plus but not mandatory.
- 2+ years of accounting experience is preferred but not required.
