IDR is seeking a talented and experienced Java Developer to join one of our top clients in Mechanicsburg, PA or Orlando, FL. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional who is adept at developing and maintaining Java and J2EE application components. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Java Developer:

• Develop and maintain Java and J2EE application components, including JSP, Custom Tag libraries, JavaScript, Session EJBs, and JDBC.
• Utilize Java Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as RAD 7.5 or above.
• Apply Object-Oriented analysis and design using Singleton, Factory, and DAO design patterns.
• Implement MVC architecture for application design and development.
• Develop batch jobs and web services.
• Work with IBM Websphere Application Server 8.0 for application deployment and management.
• Write and optimize SQL statements for relational databases, specifically Oracle Database 12c.

Required Skills for Java Developer:

• 5+ years of experience with Java and J2EE development
• 5+ years of experience with Oracle Database 12c
• 5+ years of experience with REST Web Services
• Strong knowledge of software engineering principles
• Experience supporting and maintaining Java applications
