Axogen is hiring for a Quality Engineering Intern in Tampa or Alachua, FL! Summary of the Quality Engineering Internship We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join our Quality team at Axogen. Knowledgeable mentors will provide guidance for a dynamic, professional, hands-on experience. The intern will get a unique look into the benefits of working within a smaller biomedical company; high visibility within the company and exposure to a broad range of Quality Engineering activities. This internship starts Spring 2025 for 3 semesters ideally. The student can work out of the Tampa or Alachua offices.
Requirements of the Quality Engineering Internship - Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program; preferably in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per week (up to 29) hours a week during the Spring and Fall semesters and 29+ hours per week during the summer semester; specific days/hours will be based on student's class load
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Detail oriented
- MS Excel and Outlook experience
Project Details The intern will aid in support for areas of improvement in the Quality Management System. These improvements include but are not limited to Risk Management, Design Control, Complaints and Management of Change, and Deviations. The intern will provide support, data gathering, and analysis of current projects that the Quality Engineering team is supporting or leading.

Compensation The anticipated base wage for this position is $18/hr for an undergrad student and $20/hr for a grad student. In addition to the base hourly rate, there may be a housing stipend available based on location. Interns who are 21 years of age or older are eligible for 401K.

Axogen is on a hybrid work schedule for some of our positions based out of our headquarters in Florida, with 3 days in office and 2 days remote. The hybrid work schedule does not include sales or facilities in Ohio or Texas.
