The Role
We have an opportunity for a part-time intern in Portland, Maine to conduct market research and prepare a report investigating where colleges and universities lie on the road to decarbonization. If time permits, the intern may also assist with benchmarking research on corporate responsibility approaches at other engineering and architecture firms. The intern will work with staff in our Corporate Responsibility Department in collaboration with our Sustainability & Resilience Practice.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying colleges and universities with clear decarbonization goals and researching on-line their plans for achieving their goals.
- Building an understanding and familiarity with our decarbonization services, within our Climate Action strategy
- Development of a final presentation or report identifying where our Climate Action work can support individual institutions on their road to decarbonization
Requirements:- Students should be pursuing a degree in sustainability, engineering or related fields; have a good understanding of decarbonization solutions for organizations; and have demonstrated strong research and communication skills. Students who have worked with their college or university's sustainability program and are familiar with sustainability action planning will be strongly considered.
