Job Description

Position Overview: The HRIS Specialist is responsible for providing high-quality customer service and administrative support for the HR technology across the organization. The HRIS Specialist will have several primary areas of responsibility, including data input and maintenance of the HRIS, maintenance of employee files, and be a secondary resource for timely and accurate delivery of employee payroll.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to
•Oversees and maintains optimal function of the HRIS, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modules.
•Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users.
•Collaborates with HR staff to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions.
•Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users.
• Run ad hoc reports and analyze data.
• Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships with third party providers
• Compliance & Audit - responsible for internal audits of personnel files, I-9s, and more
• Assist with bi-weekly payroll runs, bonus payments, taxable fringe calculations, etc.
• Assist with current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data, including payroll taxes, employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and other required reporting.
• Assist employees and managers with payroll questions.
• Assist with recording voluntary deductions, as well as wage garnishments, pay levies, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner, including reporting to the necessary authorities
Skills and Qualifications:
•Strong verbal and written, communication skills
•Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
•Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well within strict time frames
•Detail oriented with the ability to process work accurately with minimal errors
•Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously with limited supervision
•Work well in a team environment
•Strong conflict resolution skills

Education and Experience:
• Education, training, and/or work experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration or other applicable field.
• At least one year of Workday HCM experience (preferred)
