JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and maintains personnel records or other employee information that is accurate, complete, and fulfills legal requirements.
  • Documents and processes changes, including hires, terminations/separations, salary/compensation actions, benefit transactions, or regular payroll.
  • Ensures HRIS or related systems are updated appropriately.
  • Follows established procedures for updating, validating, and correcting employee records or other related HR data.
  • Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HR users.
  • Generates reports/queries, including writing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in the development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Ensures accuracy and helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines, and documentation.
  • Trains new system users and new processes/functionality.
  • Participates in vendor meetings/conferences.
Requirements:
  • Excellent technical support skills.
  • Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals.
  • Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product.
  • Understands and uses qualitative/quantitative measurement and data collection design principles.
  • Uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or develops appropriate solutions to issues that arise.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to keep information confidential.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically, Excel) or related software
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
