Growth Marketing Manager

Location: New York, NY

Chegg is undergoing significant transformation, clarifying its mission to provide 360 degrees of individualized support to students, focusing on degree seekers, and returning the business to growth. As part of this, we are building a new growth team to drive successful growth programs for the business. Here's where you come in. As Manager, Growth Marketing, you will help us shape the best, most successful growth initiatives across the business. You will help quarterback key projects, working cross-functionally to define, implement, and measure our growth initiatives. You'll be the rock upon which our growth programs are built!
Here's what you'll be doing

  • Developing Insights: You will be instrumental in developing insights, recommendations, and plans to help deliver growth programs for Chegg. You will have a high degree of exposure to and influence on business and team performance.
  • Learning: You're going to learn all the levers that drive growth for our business and how these connect to our financial targets.
  • Analyzing: You'll deeply understand our customer behaviors as well as our growth activities and look for opportunities for the two to collide productively to drive conversion, retention, LTV, ARPU, and other critical business levers.
  • Collaborating Cross-Functionally: You'll work closely with marketers, business ops, product management, finance, and more. You'll help make sure everyone is working together to drive the right growth initiatives.
  • Presenting: You'll educate cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders on insights and plans.
  • Building Business Cases: You'll build thoughtful and detailed business cases/financial models for our initiatives and help to prove/disprove hypotheses.
  • Rolling Up Your Sleeves: You'll dig in where the teams need extra hands, roll up your sleeves to deliver results resourcefully.
You need these qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.)
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills and are excellent at building financial models
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator; you do NOT get nervous in front of a senior executive audience and your peers come to you to help refine their presentations
  • At least 4 years of experience in a business analyst, business operations, strategic growth, or management consulting role - analyzing and solving complex problems
  • Insatiably curious, and always want to get to the bottom of mysteries, not just get rid of them
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and can run with high-level direction
  • You've got experience influencing and leading cross functional teams without direct authority

  • You've got experience working with consumer-facing subscription products

The pay range for this position is $149,000 to $277,774. The actual pay will vary based on geographic location, job requirements, professional experience, and other factors.
