What we need:

Uses artistic skills and basic design principles to determine the best visual effect in planning and designing various printed and multimedia graphic art projects from concept origination through the printing process. Performs with limited latitude for independent action within the framework of the job's primary duties and responsibilities.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with art/creative directors, video managers, copywriters, and product marketing teams to brainstorm and develop original design concepts for print, digital, and social media campaigns.
  • Design a wide range of creative assets, including logos, brochures, presentations, social media graphics, trade media ads, digital media ads, sales sheets, product labels, carton art and more.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all design elements, adhering to brand style guides for Mohawk, Karastan and Pergo.
  • Creates and manages design projects from initial concept to final execution, meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations.
  • Stay ahead of the latest design trends and software advancements.
  • Reviews proofs to ensure that all specifications are met, and the best visual effect is achieved, making modifications as necessary to enhance the appearance of the project and/or to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness in terms of the project's overall goals.
  • Works in a team environment to contribute ideas for concept development and to refine aspects of all jobs within the department.
  • Researches and monitors design trends to sharpen skills, keep with current technology and software, and determine ways to enhance the Company's image and designs from those of the competitor.
What you have:
  • Four-year college degree in a related field is required, preferably in Art, Design. Plus, a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible job specific work experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in the following areas: Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office Suite, Web design (XD or Figma), 3D design is a plus, experience in Adobe Workfront is a plus.
  • Presentation tools (PowerPoint, Keynote) Exceptional presentation design skills are a bonus.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience and understanding of graphic illustration and art design principles and concepts.

  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, and handle multiple tasks with concentration, speed, and accuracy to meet multiple deadlines and shifting requirements to produce a large volume of high-quality material with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to receive and integrate constructive feedback gracefully, demonstrating openness to growth and improvement.
  • Creative integrity, including a willingness to defend a good idea even when others express alternate perspectives.
  • Balanced approach between taking reasonable creative risks and following direction when needed.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills necessary to effectively interact with team members, management, and other internal and external customers and to build positive interpersonal relationships with various business partners in a cross-functional environment (specifically sales and marketing).
  • Consistent, proven ability to manage and implement projects and to contribute to concept development.
  • Ability to approach unfamiliar situations and conceptualize a range of creative and imaginative solutions with ease, using creativity skills to document and sell them to clients.
  • Willing to work from the office at least three days a week on fixed days.
